The gift that keeps on giving

A couple weeks ago, I had the privilege to baptize a student.  Every semester we take over one lane in the university pool and give students the opportunity to mark their decision to follow Jesus and make a public profession of faith.  This year Brittany, an AU freshman, stood in the pool and gave a testimony of how Jesus not only saved her from her sin, but delivered her from life controlling problems.  Amazing!  But even more amazing was that standing next to Brittany, helping with the baptism was her small group leader Julia.  Julia had that same testimony 3 years ago and now because of what God has done in her she’s able to invite others into that same healing experience.  The gift of a transformed life truly is one that keeps on giving.
